We are proud to announce a powerful and thought-provoking event titled “Raising the Voices of Palestinian & British Palestinian Women”, set to take place at the House of Commons Committee Rooms on 7th July 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A Critical Discussion at a Crucial Time
Hosted by a member of the House of Commons (name to be announced), this exclusive gathering aims to shed light on the silencing of Palestinian voices in the diaspora, particularly during the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The focus will be on the lived experiences, pain, and resilience of Palestinian women, especially those who continue to speak out despite political and social opposition.
At a time when freedom of speech is increasingly under threat, this event offers a unique platform to amplify the perspectives of Palestinian and British Palestinian women who refuse to stay silent in the face of injustice.
Esteemed Panel of Speakers
The event will feature distinguished women leaders, professionals, and advocates who bring firsthand experiences and deep insight into the struggles facing the Palestinian community:
Cllr Sam Ammar – Liberal Democrat politician and former Chairman of Bromsgrove District Council
Maysam Abumorr – Middle East Researcher and Intelligence Analyst at Meta
Mrs. Mai Aabid – Head of the Women Committee of the Palestinian Community in the UK
Reema Alrakhawi – British Palestinian writer, journalist, and life coach
Saga Hamdan – Palestinian writer, dentist, and public and social health researcher
These trailblazing women will share their stories and reflect on the collective grief, strength, and resistance of Palestinian women in the UK and beyond.
